Persija (Abbreviation of Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Jakarta) is an Indonesian football club based in Jakarta. Persija currently competing in the Indonesian Super League. Persija founded on 28 November 1928, just a month after the Youth Pledge, the forerunner named Voetbalbond Indonesische Jacatra (VIJ).

VIJ is one of the club who co-founded Persatuan sepak bola Seluruh Indonesia (PSSI) with the participation of representatives VIJ, namely Mr. Soekardi in the formation Hadiprojo Societeit PSSI in Yogyakarta on Saturday-19 April 1930.

Field of play

For international matches, international soccer field that is used has a length that ranges between 100-120 meters and 65-75 meters wide.
