In 1970, Tottenham won two League Cups, namely in 1971 and 1973 In 1972, became the first club to be formed since the UEFA Cup in 1971 and became the first British club to win two different major European trophies. In the 1980s, Spurs won several trophies with the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup in 1984 In the 1990s, the club won the FA Cup and League Cup. When it won the League Cup once more in 2008, making them the club that has won a major trophy in each of the last six decades - an achievement that is the same with Manchester United.
The club is based in the White Hart Lane club motto is Audere est Facere which is a Latin word that is often translated into English as "To Dare is To Do". Spurs have a fairly old feud with city rivals, Arsenal, and matches between Spurs with Arsenal known as the North London derby.
